Chamois Metrology is delighted to announce that Jon Shan has joined the company as Sales Director, and will be responsible for enhancing the business, as well as improving the customer interface.

Jon Shan brings with him an eminent track record. He has more than 20 years experience in field sales, sales management and global distributor management, delivering instrumentation product solutions to some of the UK’s leading companies. Adding Jon’s expertise to Chamois’ already considerable team will greatly enhance the company’s reputation and expertise, and the delivery of its pre-eminent service and support.

Additel’s new ADT760 automatic handheld pressure calibrator

Additel’s new ADT760 automatic handheld pressure calibrator incorporates pressure generation
and control in a handheld design weighing less than 1.8kg. And there are three models to choose from; low-pressure differential, mid-pressure differential and gauge, and high pressure absolute and gauge.

Every ADT760 comes with a calibrated pressure module covering its full range and providing an accuracy of 0.02% FS. Pressure modules are easy to remove and swap and Additel offers a full range from ±0.25 inH2O (±0.62 mbar) to 300 psi (20 bar).

Each unit has the capability to measure voltage and current and supply 24V loop power. As an optional feature, each model can be configured to data log pressure readings, setup calibration tasks, and communicate with HART-smart devices.

All ADT760s come with and adaptor set for convenient connection, external power supply, Li-ion rechargeable battery pack, test leads and a UKAS calibration certificate with data. There is also a range of cases, hose test kits, external pressure modules, and accessories.

Meet Additel’s new smooth operator

The 949 Hydraulic Ultra-high Pressure Test Pump is a hand operated pressure pump designed to generate pressure up to 40,000 psi (2,800bar). With the patented screw press technology, high pressures can be easily generated, increased and decreased smoothly. A specially designed shut-off valve makes the pressure as stable as possible during calibration. With no non-returning valve, the 949 avoids the troublesome leakage issues that is usually experienced with hand pumps and allows for minimal maintenance. The 949 is an ideal comparison test pump for calibrating ultra-high pressure measuring instruments such as test gauges, indicators or transducers in the laboratory.

The new troubleshooters have arrived

The new Additel 209 and 210 loop calibrator series combine ease of use and functionality, making them the ideal tools to troubleshoot your process loop. The ADT209 has an accuracy of 0.03% of reading whereas the ADT210 holds an accuracy of 0.01% of reading.
If you want to source, simulate or simply measure, along with HART functionality, the Additel Loop calibrator series will fit your need. The ADT209 and ADT210 allow for measurement of current, voltage and a switch test function. You can also simulate or source mA or a process transmitter. With a push of a button, you can switch to zero and span values, auto ramp, and auto step throughout the range.
Each loop calibrator has a large, easy to read screen which simultaneously displays the measurement with the % of span.

Look. No gas! Additel’s new Bench Top Pressure Controller is a revelation

The new Additel ADT780 series bench top pressure controllers deliver precision accuracy to 0.005% of reading + 0.005% FS. The need for cumbersome gas bottles is eliminated by the use of an electric pump to produce pressures to 1,000 psi (70 bar) with an electric pump and gas booster to 3,000 psi (200 bar).

Each unit comes with one Intelligent Pressure Module configured to the many range offerings provided. Standard accuracy sensors are certified with a 1 year accuracy of 0.02% FS. The precision quartz-based sensors improve the 1 year accuracy specification to 0.005% of reading + 0.005% FS. Each unit contains process calibrator functionality with HART® and Profibus PA communication capabilities.

The Additel 780 series offers two base ranges: to 1,000 psi (70 bar) and to 3,000 psi (200 bar). The base range establishes the maximum controlling range of the controller. Each configuration includes a control sensor in which is pre-selected to the range best suited for the application need. External and internal sensors can be used which allows for expanded range and accuracy capability in the future.

In addition to supplying pressure, temperature, electrical and mass calibration equipment from some of the World’s leading manufacturers, Chamois Metrology is one of the country’s leading UKAS calibration laboratories (Laboratory no. 0822) offering some of the best uncertainties available in the UK.
